Bomb parts were seized at the airport's cargo terminal yesterday after being flown from Beijing on a passenger flight.
The consignment weighed 910 kilograms and was in five parts, each about 1.5 metres in length. A white and orange missile-like head and two tail fins were among them.
Sources in Beijing said the parts were being exported by the China National Aero Technology company.
Police said the devices were in five wooden boxes and were destined for Israel. They were to be flown out of the territory in the next two days.
Customs officers discovered the parts, declared as 'dummy stores', during a routine check at 9.40 am. Bomb disposal officers and police from the airport security unit were immediately called in. The parts were flown in on Thursday.
The consignment had passed through standard security checks before being sent from Beijing.
