Edward Yang, Electronic Data Systems (EDS) corporate vice-president and group executive for Asia Pacific, will talk aboutquality for the future at the Hong Kong Management Association Quality Award dinner tonight.
Mr Yang has had management experience with EDS in the Asia Pacific as well as South America. EDS is one of the largest information technology services companies in the world.
He will talk on 'Providing Customer Value: A new Approach to Quality in the 21st Century'. Previously, Mr Yang was with Wang Laboratories as senior vice-president, corporate officer and general manager of the firm's South American and Asia Pacific operations.
The 1995 Quality Award will be presented to the winner tonight at the Grand Hyatt ballroom.
The dinner, which is the highlight of the Quality Award, brings together judges, board of examiners, organising committee, the award winner, past winners, quality practitioners and executives from top companies.
The gathering provides an opportunity for the business community to find out about the experiences of the winner and past winners in practising quality as well as being a forum for sharing experiences.
