Hong Kong made some amends for their 3-0 defeat by Australia on Tuesday by beating Singapore by the same score in the World Cup in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
Jackie Lee, Faheem Khan and Rebecca Chiu all won their matches with ease in their second Group A match.
Faheem had the easiest victory beating Lim Jit Yei 9-1, 9-1, 9-0.
The Pakistani-born Hong Kong number one had stretched world number two Rodney Eyles to five games in his previous match against Australia. It was the first time in Faheem's long and distinguished career that he had stretched a player of such high repute.
Lee set the ball rolling for the territory by beating Mohammed Rizal 9-6, 9-6, 9-0.
Chiu gave the territory a comfortable 3-0 win by beating Della Lee 9-1, 9-6, 9-4.
