Indonesia's Citra Lamtoro Gung Persada has been chosen to upgrade the central Java airport in Solo to international status, according to a newspaper report.

  The Jakarta Post reported that Darma Tyanto Saptodewo, project officer for Citra, said the firm had been appointed to upgrade the airport and would be involved in running it.

  Mr Saptodewo said Citra, controlled by President Suharto's eldest daughter, Siti Hardiyanti Rukmana, would invest 17 billion rupiah (about HK$51.3 million) in the first phase and the government 11 billion rupiah.
