A cleaner raped a nine-year-old girl on the roof of a tower block after snatching her off the street as she went to buy a comic, the High Court was told yesterday.
The schoolgirl, now 10, told how Keung Hung-chun abducted her after threatening to stab her to death.
Trial judge Mr Justice Arthur Leong Shiu-chung and counsel removed their wigs and gowns to help put the girl at ease as she gave evidence through a video link-up.
In a harrowing testimony, the Primary Four pupil told how Keung raped her after stripping her and indecently assaulting her.
She added: 'He asked me if I knew what rape was. I pretended I didn't . . . he said I'm raping you now.
'My mother had often told us not to go off with strangers and during this time I became aware [of what rape was]. He said if I told others about it, he would make me a prostitute.' Keung, 58, yesterday admitted indecently assaulting the girl at Hong Lai Garden, Tuen Mun, on October 25, last year, but denied raping her.
Prosecutor Wesley Wong Wai-chung said the girl had gone to a sports hall that morning to play badminton with her mother. Keung stopped her when she left the centre to buy a comic.
