The Education Department has been trying hard to encourage schools to set up Parent-Teacher Associations (PTAs) to promote communication between parents and teachers.

Raimondi College became one of the first schools in the territory to set up a PTA in 1966.

The proposal was first made in 1964 and the school felt that the association could do a lot in promoting ties between teachers and parents. It could also boost parents' involvement in extra-curricular activities organised by the school from time to time.

The PTA was formally launched in 1966.

In its 30 years of existence, the Raimondi College PTA has been actively serving as a communication channel for parents and teachers of the school.

It organises regular activities every year, including picnics, Christmas parties and seminars for parents on topics such as 'The influence of family life in the education of children' and 'Child growth and guidance'.
