The Formosa Plastics Group, a group of companies controlled by Taiwan billionaire Wang Yung-ching, has confirmed a plan to invest US$3 billion in six power generators in southeastern China, group spokesman C.C. Wu says. Directors of Nan Ya Plastics Corp, the group's biggest company, approved an investment of $140 million for a 20 per cent stake in the venture that will operate the project, Mr Wu said. The unnamed concern would have $700 million in capital.
