Cranes order for Samsung

SAMSUNG Heavy Industries, South Korea's second largest shipbuilder and heavy machinery maker, has received an order for container cranes worth US$100 million from Singapore's port authority.

Samsung Heavy Industries, which is unlisted, plans to install eight container cranes and 53 transfer cranes at Singapore ports by 1994, a company spokesman said.
