An off-duty policeman was killed and three men including two constables were injured in traffic accidents in Tai Po and Jordan yesterday.

  Constable Cheng Wing-lok, 26, from Tai Po police station was killed, and a 32-year-old passenger was injured, when his sports car ran out of control as it turned into Nam Wan Road from Tai Wo Road.

   Another passenger, constable Cheng Yan-wing, 21, who was in the front seat, climbed out of the window and went for help.

  Earlier, a car driven by another off-duty officer crashed into a fence outside Queen Elizabeth Hospital. The 25-year-old constable suffered head injuries and was admitted in fair condition to Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
