THOMAS Lloyd, who is based in Germany, will fly the Hongkong flag at next week's Asian Tour Qualifying School in the Philippines. Hongkong-bred Lloyd returned to the territory last week to celebrate his 30th birthday and leaves for Manila today to prepare for his attempt to win playing rights for the 1993 Asian Tour. Lloyd will be one of more than 300 hopefuls vying for the 50 remaining places on this year's nine-leg circuit which tees-off with the Kent Hongkong Open at Fanling on February 11 Having shot rounds of 78 and 74 to miss the halfway cut in last week's Mount Edgecombe Trophy in Johannesburg, Boulet failed to ensure himself a spot in this week's US$150,000 ICL International at the Zwartkop Country Club in Pretoria. However, in Monday's pre-qualifier he returned a one-over-par 73 to clinch one of the 58 spots on offer for the 72-hole tournament which tees-off tomorrow.
