China's increasing preference for product safety and quality fuels the demand for processing equipment parts, such as valves and pumps, that conform to international standards. Honed by 45 years of expertise, AVK GUMMI is a reliable partner in innovative industrial rubber solutions.

"Rubber parts are considered the heart of the valves, and the valves' functionality and durability hinge on the rubber quality," says Peter Lorentzen, managing director.

AVK GUMMI's commitment to excellence, flexibility, transparency and traceability propels its global success. The company supplies critical rubber products for demanding applications, specialising in drinking water, food, health care and technical industries. Using only rubber ingredients approved by international certification bodies, AVK GUMMI's cutting-edge technology enables it to produce rubber compounds with outstanding ability to regain shape even after numerous compression cycles. Its rubber compounds for drinking water applications are highly resistant to chemical water treatments, and all metal and rubber components are secured with a double bonding system for maximum adhesion and high corrosion resistance. The rubber compound is designed to minimise biofilm formation for safe drinking water distribution.

The company creates customer-specific designs and does the mixing of compounds, parts and design of moulds in-house. Its production and fully automated mixing plant in Laasby, Denmark, is considered one of the most advanced in the world.

AVK GUMMI has since followed its European customers that have production bases in China, where it serves local and existing customers through its Kunshan-based subsidiary, AVK Sealing Technology. Founded in 2004, the subsidiary manages AVK GUMMI's facility in China according to Danish documented standards. Sixty per cent of its turnover in China comes from local customers, with a strong upward trend coming from Chinese and Taiwanese clients.
