A third-generation family niche company, OMMELIFT traces its roots to 1906 as the local forge in Sønder-Omme, Denmark. Growing from strength to strength, the company has successfully transformed into a global player in the lift equipment industry while upholding its long-standing foundations built on trust, honesty and credibility.

OMMELIFT has been manufacturing aerial platforms since 1980. The company provides a range of crawler-mounted and trailer-mounted lifts, with sales averaging 500 units annually across more than 70 countries worldwide. "We prioritise product quality over quantity to keep our business sustainable and maintain our integrity," says Harry Lorentsen, managing director.

Following stringent quality guidelines, OMMELIFT has obtained the European CE certification as a mark of trust. The company's lift series are reputed for having long lifespans and are equipped with safety systems and easy-to-use operation panels - making them the preferred choice in the European rental market. OMMELIFT's aerial platforms are extremely compact to allow access through difficult-to-reach areas and can be used on indoor surfaces and outdoor terrains.

In Asia, the company mainly serves the end-users for facilities maintenance, such as shopping malls, airports and amusement parks. To meet the regional demand for taller and higher capacity equipment, OMMELIFT has developed the 4200 RBDJ - its largest equipment to date - in collaboration with customers in China. Launched in June, the 4200 RBDJ has a 42-metre working height and is powered by diesel and hybrid battery.

OMMELIFT maintains exclusive partnerships with local dealers, namely Beijing Xinyazhong on the mainland, Avion Access in Hong Kong and MHE-Demag for the rest of Asia. To strengthen regional foothold, OMMELIFT aims to expand sales of access platforms for over-30-metre working areas.

"Our local dealers provide service and maintenance facilities. We educate them so that the end-users in Asia receive a uniform, high level of service," Lorentsen says.
