China Merchants Hai Hong Holdings Co says its offer of shares to the public, part of its proposal for the separate listing of Ming Wah Universal (Bermuda) Co, has been 1.63 times oversubscribed.

  The company said that at the close of the application list on June 20 there were 6,661 applications for 19.68 million offer shares.

   There were 12.06 million shares available to the public. Trading is due to begin in Singapore today.
