A teacher at the Communist Party School and his wife have been detained for running a Christian training centre near Beijing.
Bob Fu Xiqiu who teaches English at the Communist Party School, has been detained by Beijing police along with his wife, Heidi Cai Bochun.
The couple were seized on May 9 when police searched their home at the Party School's dormitory, Christian sources in the capital said.
They are currently held at a detention centre in Fengtai run by the Public Security Bureau in Chongwen District and their families have not been able to visit them, sources added.
The centre, which is registered as a business, has been sealed by the police.
According to the sources, Beijing police also raided at least two church houses in the city following the couple's arrest.
