NKK to launch Singapore-registered bulk carrier this month

Japanese shipbuilder NKK Corp will launch a 171,000 deadweight tonne (dwt) bulk carrier on July 24.

The vessel, which is Singapore-registered, is being built for U-Ming Marine Transport (Singapore).
The vessel is about 289 metres in length. It has a breadth of about 45 metres and depth of 24 metres, with a draught of 17.78 metres.
The bulk carrier, which is being fitted with a HZ-Man B&W 6S70 MC (Mark V) engine, will have a speed of 14.3 knots.
On the same day, another 150,000 dwt bulk carrier will be named and delivered to its owner, Eleanor Shipping Corp. The vessel is registered under the Liberian flag.

The vessel has a length of 273 metres, breadth of 43 metres, depth of 23.9 metres and draught of 17.4 metres.
