Wo Kee Hong warns rivals

Wo Kee Hong (Holdings), the exclusive distributor of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) air-conditioners in Hong Kong and Macau, has warned any parties infringing on its rights will be liable to legal action.

The warning followed an earlier statement Wo Kee Hong was one of the authorised distributors of the air-conditioners in China - a challenge to Perfect Treasure Holdings, also an appointed distributor in China.

Wo Kee Hong was granted distribution rights by MHI, which has no direct trading relationship with Perfect Treasure, which has just floated its shares.

Wo Kee Hong said sales of air-conditioning and refrigeration products in China last year fell 33.4 per cent to $1.02 billion from $1.53 billion.
