Jack Chiarapurk, the former chairman of Jack Chia, the Chinese medicine and foodstuffs company, died in Singapore yesterday, aged 74.

  Mr Chiarapurk owned 53.96 per cent of the Hong Kong listed company's shares and spearheaded the development of Kimi instant noodles into Australia and Britain.
