An unemployed youth flew into a rage and punched a schoolgirl for branding him a bad person because he has a tattoo. Lau Fong-tak, 17, yesterday admitted common assault at the junction of Finnie Street and King's Road, Quarry Bay. Eastern Court heard Lau met Wong Wai-yee, 15, on July 9. Five nights later, they were out with friends when a heated argument developed in which the girl admitted she had gossiped about his tattoo. Lau then punched Wai-yee. She was taken to hospital with facial and abdominal injuries. Magistrate Alan Wright said Lau had nine previous convictions, including two for common assault. He remanded Lau in custody until August 7 pending reports.
