The snakeboard, which first appeared at an expo in the United States in 1992, is attracting fans from among the young folk here.

The New York Times called the snakeboard 'a new method of transport', while Newsweek described it as the 'suburban equivalent of the snowboard'.

Science magazine ranked it as one of the top 100 inventions of 1992.

The front and rear wheels of a snakeboard, which operate independently, are connected by a bar.

The player has to wriggle like a snake, twisting his body and moving his legs, while performing tasks ranging from something simple like playing the hula hoop to something as challenging as body-height leaping.
