Disruptive demolition

Having endured days of brain-splitting noise from power drilling in my residential area South Bay, I went up to investigate the source of all the noise and dust to find huge areas of pavement being demolished in the name of Cable TV.

I am amazed that a commercial concern such as Cable should be given permission by the Government to cause this kind of disruption in a residential area, not to mention noise pollution.

Does this also mean in future that other areas of Hong Kong will be subjected to the same bombardment in order to install cable? I would appreciate a response from the relevant government department.
