Asia On-Line, a Hong Kong Internet service provider, and China Link (Overseas) will join forces in a project to bring China business information on to the Net. The service will deliver more than 300 Chinese-language newspapers to the Net. 'Infobank has accumulated over the years the world's single largest, and certainly the most diversified, database of China business news and other related information,' Don Xia, managing director of China Link, said. The China Link database contains full-text articles and users can search it by category or by using Asia On-Line's Chinese full-text search facilities. Meanwhile, the Composers and Authors Society of Hong Kong (CASH) has introduced SunSystems financial management software by Systems Union to ensure its 1.2 million global members receive their royalty payments on time. Royalties are calculated by sampling television and radio programmes and from statements submitted by major music users. CASH protects the rights of two million works using a new system called Ciscom, which will interface with the SunSystems module. CASH is running SunSystems' Ledger Accounting module on a Windows-based Novell LAN environment.
