What are the economic and environmental impacts of the land reclamation work currently going on in Hong Kong? What are the pros and cons of three-year as opposed to four-year tertiary education in Hong Kong? What event or person has had the greatest influence on your life? These are the topics for the second annual essay competition organised by the Harvard Book Club of Hong Kong for Form Five to Form Seven students to improve the standard of written English in the territory.
Entrants are required to write up to 2,000 words on one of the above topics.
The top three winners will receive $5,000, $2,500 and $1,000 respectively. Ten prizes of book coupons worth $500 each will also be awarded.
Entries must be sent to The Harvard Club, GPO Box 1723, Hong Kong, by September 30.
