Government figures show property transactions rebounded 15 per cent to 12,710 last month from June.
Figures from the Land Registry released yesterday were similar to preliminary statistics released by Centaline Property Agency and Midland Realty last week.
The July result represented an increase of 43.4 per cent over the same month in 1995.
Value agreements rose 21.3 per cent from June to $42.2 billion and were up 99.3 per cent against July last year.
These statistics generally relate to land transactions executed up to four weeks before their submission for registration, as there is usually a delay between the execution of deeds and their registration.
In spite of the pick up, estate agents said the market had softened and was consolidating after the strong rallies earlier this year.
