To encourage secondary school students to take part in social services, the Joint School Volunteers' Association and Agency for Volunteer Service have organised an award programme.
The Student Volunteers Award Programme is targeted at Forms One to Seven students. Applicants should have taken part in voluntary or social services for at least 20 hours from July 1 to August 31.
Schools, voluntary organisations and charities are eligible for the programme.
The association plans to give out 100 awards. Winners will be invited to a ceremony next month.
The association wants to recognise the efforts of students who have taken part in social services and encourage more teenagers to join in.
The charity organisation is run by a group of voluntary students from different schools each year. There are 18 member schools this year.
