KPI profits up 57.6pc

Agricultural product manufacturer K. P. I. Company recorded a year-end profit leap of 57.6 per cent to $47.34 million on the back of strong chemical fertiliser sales.

Turnover for the year to March, 1996 rose 52 per cent to $5 billion. Profit retained increased 151 per cent to $31 million.

Earnings per share were up 58 per cent to 16.1 cents.
