SWIRE Pacific net profits rose 5.6 per cent from a year earlier to $3.055 billion for the six months to June. The result was bolstered by an exceptional gain of $468 million from the disposal of part of the group's shareholding in Hong Kong Dragon Airlines. Earnings per A share were 192.7 cents and 30.5 cents per B share.
