AFTER reading the two open letters published by Cathay Pacific Airways and the Flight Attendants' Union on January 26, I chose to give my support to the flight attendants. It is a pity to see that the flight attendants have lost their campaign, but Cathay Pacific is even more pathetic in that it has chosen, quite unnecessarily, to cause so much damage to its public image.

I find it uncomfortable that the management style and strategies of a big Hongkong employer of multi-national employees can be so out of touch with the virtues of a civilised world today. FRANK Y. F. WONG Taikoo Shing
