Dial when you see some smut

THE porn police have launched their own sex hotline.

The aim is to put a stop to moral misdemeanours by encouraging the public to report obscenity illegalities to the Television and Entertainment Licensing Authority.

Newspapers, magazines, comics, CD-ROMs, videos and laser discs not classified under the Film Classification Ordinance should be brought to the attention of the authority, a licensing authority spokesman said.

'Indecent articles must not be sold or rented to young people under the age of 18,' the spokesman added.

Indecent articles must be enclosed in wrappers bearing the statutory warning notice and particulars of the publisher.

Concerned members of the public should dial 2676 7676 to reach the 24-hour hotline.
