Surprise Weekly publisher Leung Tin-wai, whose forearm was chopped off in a mystery attack in May, said yesterday he would not return to work until his magazine moved from its Quarry Bay office.

Mr Leung, 53, who still cannot use the hand which was surgically re-attached, said the attack was the most terrifying moment of his life and left him psychologically scarred.

'I don't want to go back to the bad associations,' he said. 'I will start work after they've moved office.' The magazine plans to relocate to Chai Wan before the end of the year.

Mr Leung again said he had no idea who his attackers were and why he was attacked.

'I have no enemies and have never been threatened,' he said.

Police said yesterday investigations were continuing. A $5 million trust fund has been set up as a reward to catch the attackers.
