On the move

I WRITE in reply to the Rev Carl T. Smith's letter (South China Morning Post, January 28), to confirm it is intended to consolidate the Public Records Office in custom-built government-owned accommodation in Tuen Mun.

The new facilities will provide one-stop access in modern accommodation to all public records in Hongkong, and prove more convenient for scholars and others than the present arrangement whereby records are separately located in Aberdeen, Central and TuenMun.
