Lehman Brothers has lost another senior member from its fixed-income team with the resignation of John Hunt, regional manager of Asian bond business.
Mr Hunt was appointed just three months ago to replace Christopher Nicholas, who held the position for less than a year. Mr Hunt was the fifth person to head Lehman's Asian currency debt trading business in the past 21/2 years.
Spokesman Gerard Kay confirmed that Mr Hunt had resigned but that no replacement had been named yet.
The latest resignation follows a series of similar departures from the firm's fixed-income team, including at least six involved in Asian currency bond trading.
Banque Indosuez has hired several former Lehman employees as part of its expansion in the region, including Mr Nicholas, who is charged with developing the Asian currency debt business; and Keith Innes, head of fixed-income business in Asia.
Despite the departures, Mr Kay said Lehman's remained 'absolutely committed to the fixed-income business in Asia'.
