Videos designed to raise awareness of Hong Kong's country parks and the need for nature conservation will be distributed free among schools and non-profit making private organisations. The videos are being produced by the Agriculture and Fisheries Department (AFD), with funds from a donation of $2.5 million given by the Hong Kong Jockey Club to be used for AFD educational programmes. AFD assistant director Frank Lau Sin-pang said the videos would be a useful tool in the environment cause in general, and in promoting the territory's country parks in particular. The videos will be screened regularly at country park visitor centres. The video package, which will be produced over the next nine months, will be completed by the end of next year.
