A 10-year-old illegal immigrant yesterday pleaded guilty to a charge of burglary. The boy, from Jiangsu province, also admitted remaining in Hong Kong illegally.

   Sha Tin juvenile court heard the boy arrived in the territory in mid-August. On Monday morning he burgled a Sha Tin flat, the court was told in a closed-door hearing.

   Magistrate Loh Lai-kuen adjourned sentencing to September 17 pending a report by probation officers.

 The boy is being kept at a juvenile home.
