Exam guidelines out for private candidates
Registration guidelines have been issued to students taking the Advanced Level exam and Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) as private candidates.
Entry forms and notes are available at District Offices. Those wishing to sit the exams must register in person at one of the following centres during the specified period or time: Hong Kong Registration Centre: Queen Elizabeth Stadium, Oi Kwan Road, Wan Chai. HKAL and HKCEE: September 10 to 12. Kowloon Registration Centre: Hong Kong Examinations Authority, San Po Kong Sub-office, 17 Tseuk Luk Street, San Po Kong, Kowloon. HKAL: September 13 to 19; HKCEE: September 13 to 26.
The office hours are 9 am - 4 pm weekdays and 9 am - noon on Saturday.
Candidates must submit the completed entry form and produce originals of their qualifications and identification.
Candidates are advised to register within the specified periods. Late applications made on or before December 14, 1996, can only be accepted under special circumstances.
Appointment cards will be issued to cope with the expected rush on the two Saturdays during the registration periods. Cards will be issued to applicants during office hours, and they will be asked to return at a specified time the same day.
