IBA offers debit card service

International Bank of Asia (IBA) and Visa International have launched Visa Interlink, a facility which enables Visa card-holders to use their cards overseas as a debit card.

The Visa Interlink facility will be be available to IBA customers in two phases.

The first phase will allow IBA Visa card-holders with bank accounts linked to ATMs (automated teller machines) global access to their IBA bank accounts from outside Hong Kong.

At a later stage, IBA savings/current account holders will be able to draw cash and make purchases overseas with their ATM cards.

IBA is the first bank in Hong Kong to offer such service.
