The number of visitors to Hong Kong continues to grow strongly with total arrivals for the first four months of the year up 16.2 per cent to 3.6 million.

The territory attracted more visitors from Japan, Singapore and Malaysia, while arrivals from Taiwan were affected by political uncertainty and fell 22.2 per cent.
Thai visitors also stayed away as a result of the country's decision to introduce a consumption tax on goods purchased overseas.
