THE 1995 World Cup will be the sixth in the competition's history and the biggest so far, with 12 countries taking part - three more than last year when it was held in Australia and New Zealand.

The nine Test-playing nations - England, Australia, West Indies, New Zealand, South Africa, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe _ will be joined by three qualifiers. Netherlands, Bangladesh and Canada are the three favourites to emerge.
