'All the ships in service have been replaced with fast, modern container ships operating at 21-22.5 knots, compared with approximately 17-knot vessels used since the service was inaugurated in 1994,' APL said.
The faster services will reduce transit times by 10 days from the Mexican Pacific port of Manzanillo to Bangkok and by five days from Kaohsiung to Manzanillo. The service provides direct calls at Hong Kong, Kaohsuing, Kobe and Yokohama to Mexico.
