BSI Pacific is offering an environmental management systems internal auditors' course next month. The programme, beginning on October 23, will lead to a certificate being awarded by BSI Pacific.
Areas covered in the course include requirements of BS 7750, ISO 14001 and Europe's Eco-Management Audit Systems (EMAS), compliance verification strategies, emerging trends, managing the on-site process as a team leader and maximising the effectiveness of an audit team.
This will help to update the skills of those who are working as auditors in the disciplines of quality or health and safety.
Participants can also be those in the environmental field with limited experience in environmental management systems.
On day one of the course, participants will learn the roles and responsibilities of auditors, standard requirements and environmental legislation.
On the second day, they will learn how to prepare and conduct an audit.
