AN unemployed man alleged to have been involved in a $3.6 million fraud appeared in Eastern Court yesterday.

No pleas were taken from Tam Chi-hung, 38, who has been charged with eight counts of obtaining property by deception and five counts of evasion of liability by deception.

Tam's case was transferred to the District Court and he was remanded in jail custody until his next court appearance on February 19.
