When it comes to branding, the Swiss have established a name that equates with quality and luxury. Living up to this esteemed reputation, Belcolor Flooring brings its expertise in unconventional flooring that adds a distinctly Alpine touch to any room.
Belcolor, the biggest flooring and wall covering distributor in Switzerland, is a 100 per cent subsidiary of Headlam Group. The group itself is considered as the biggest flooring distribution company in Europe. Meeting the exacting standards of a diverse clientele, Belcolor outshines competitors, particularly through its trademarked swissfloors line.
The floor specialist uses mountain-grown timber for its swissfloors. One particular swissfloors collection made of Swiss stone pine, also known as Tree Queen of the Alps, emits a pleasant smell that can positively influence people's moods and enhance sleep quality. Sourced from among the few Alpine tree species that can grow 2,000 metres above sea level, Swiss stone pine exudes exclusivity.
"We do not just sell the flooring materials. We spend time and effort to advise customers. We want to make sure the installation is 100 per cent Swiss-like," says CEO Dr Stefan Krummenacher.
Aiming to appeal to cosmopolitan individuals with discerning tastes, Belcolor works with suppliers and real estate firms to raise product awareness. The company established a showroom in Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu, together with its Chinese partner, to let customers experience the Belcolor difference. Since the showroom opened in March last year, Belcolor has attracted more customers and has installed swissfloors in several sites on the mainland.
In a bold marketing initiative, Belcolor, in collaboration with its Chinese partner, is organising a trip to Switzerland in April for prospective customers.
"We plan to take our customers to where the trees grow and have them stay in a historic hotel that incorporates Swiss stone pine furnishings. It will be easier to market our products once customers experience first-hand what we have to offer," Krummenacher says.
