For a company with more than 50 years of experience and a solid track record in the automation industry, Afag has become synonymous with product reliability, durability and longevity.

Such expertise in developing and supplying assembly components across Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific is the result of Afag's Swiss-German engineering tradition and innovation aimed at achieving the highest levels of production precision.

"Anyone venturing into the automation business requires three essential functions - feeding, handling and transport technology. We are experts in those areas," says CEO Markus Werro. "We are feeding, handling and transport specialists, and everything in our company is about quality and reliability."

Afag provides a comprehensive range of components - from highly reliable pneumatic slides to energy-efficient mechatronic pick-and-place units, to linear transfer systems and advanced feeding solutions - all aimed at improving customers' production efficiency.

With 30 offices worldwide, Afag continues to strengthen relationships, particularly with its partners in China and other parts of Asia.

"We have a presence in Suzhou and partners in Singapore and India in charge of our operations in Asia," Werro says. "Our mission is to support and cover local needs and services in the region. We follow our customers wherever they go and stay with them all the way."

Afag is also eyeing to establish new partnerships with Chinese machine builders who put value on optimised production lines. With China's growing talent pool, Afag is aiming to attract technically competent and business-savvy young professionals to be part of its team. One possible way of doing this is by sponsoring PhD students from China.

While Afag prides itself on its expertise in automated production processes, it puts a premium on commitment to its customers. "We build on the values of competence, integrity and responsibility to gain our customers' trust," Werro says.
