A Chinese adage says: "Every smile makes you a day younger". Dental company Ivoclar Vivadent brings this to fruition through its preventive and restorative oral care products, and systems that bring tangible benefits to customers. "A healthy smile makes a more satisfied human being. We are passionate about aesthetics and innovation in making natural-looking tooth restorations," says Christian Brutzer, global region head for Asia-Pacific.

Ivoclar Vivadent's three pillars of strength - direct restoratives, fixed prosthetics and removable prosthetics - have enabled it to clinch its industry-leading position in advancing dental practice for dentists and dental technicians worldwide. Possessing unprecedented competency in all-ceramics restoratives, its IPS e.max system offers high-strength materials for pressable and computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technologies. The Liechtenstein-based company supplies products to more than 120 countries globally, with 3,000 employees on the ground bringing tailored offerings to customers.

Ivoclar Vivadent has one of the largest networks for dental education. It collaborates with renowned dental universities and institutes for continuous research of innovative products and technologies. The company's International Centre for Dental Education (ICDE), established in 28 locations, is a world-class education and learning facility providing dental professionals with dental care knowledge and usage of Ivoclar Vivadent's solutions.

In Asia, China remains as one of the company's focus markets. Ivoclar Vivadent works closely with China's health ministry and the International Health Exchange and Cooperation Centre in Beijing, where it also maintains a CAD/CAM training centre. The company operates a subsidiary and an ICDE in Shanghai. "Our international partnerships allow us to pursue our passion of doing the right thing for oral health in an ever more global village where information flows across borders and languages," Brutzer says.

Ivoclar Vivadent cements its regional commitment through long-term upgrades of existing operations. Besides China, the company has subsidiaries in India, Japan and the Philippines, and representative offices in South Korea and Indonesia.
