When Patrick Steiner founded ZIEL Consulting, he knew exactly what he wanted. He left his post at a global management consulting firm to offer clients a step beyond professional expertise and develop closer ties with them. Today, 13 years after Steiner made that crucial decision at a hotel lobby in Hong Kong, ZIEL Consulting has built a track record of helping companies across Europe and Asia meet their business growth aspirations. Excluding new referrals, 100 per cent of the company's more than 150 projects are repeat customers. "We make our clients' problems our problem and go with them through difficult times," says Steiner, who coined the word ZIEL from the acronym of a German expression that means "together it is easier". "We put our heads and hearts into solutions and this approach is particularly fundamental to our value proposition." Focusing on growth strategies from product development, multichannel distribution and positioning to pricing, ZIEL Consulting applies two highly successful methodologies. Developed by the company over several years, SOLVIT, a pragmatic problem-solving approach, combines key findings from academic research, management theory and military strategy with extensive experience in project management. ZIEL Consulting complements this method with its Communication, Involvement and Mobilisation programme to enlist intra-company co-operation and leverage crowdsourcing beyond company boundaries. Beyond its presence in Singapore and Hong Kong, ZIEL Consulting aims to share its know-how with a broader business base in Asia. The company also welcomes partners with complementary skills as ZIEL Consulting expands its focus beyond the financial and industrial sectors to other segments such as health care. "We have just planted the seeds in Asia and are seeing some first little positive results," Steiner says. "This highly personal business requires honesty, creativity and a passion for always doing a little bit more for clients." ZIEL Consulting http://zielconsulting.com
