Arnhold Holdings chairman Michael Green's family link with Hong Kong and China spans almost 90 years, with his father born here in 1907.

Mr Green was born in Shanghai, in 1939, and interned by the Japanese in the Philippines with his mother during World War II, before returning to Shanghai in 1947 and moving to Hong Kong in 1949.

Today, he shares his views as part of our weekly series on Hong Kong's prospects leading up to and after next year's handover.
