First Division debutants DeA are praying that a surprise package will arrive along with the Fijian national team, due here this week to play two Tests against Hong Kong.
The ambitious new entrants into the top league are hoping that Fijian playmaker Moape Ravuvu will be aboard the same flight which brings the Fiji national team to town for the Fosters Tests, and a midweek game against the Hong Kong Development side.
'We have been in touch with Moape and at the moment there is a high probability that he will arrive with the Fiji team,' said Chris Meads, one of the forces behind DeA's rise to prominence.
DeA, who played in the Third Division last season, have been recruiting overseas and locally in the summer break, and have put together a credible team to launch their First Division campaign, which begins on October 12.
The cream of their summer signings would be Moape. The diminutive and talented utility back caught the eye last season for his startling bursts of speed and intuitive play.
But having earned a place in the national side, Moape left in controversial circumstances.
