Eight legislators were declared early this morning in Macau's last direct elections under Portuguese rule.
The winners were Leong Heng-teng and Kou Hoi-in from UNIPRO; Chio Ho-cheong and Liu Yuk-lon from APPEM; Tong Chi-kin from UPD, Fong Chi-keong from UDM; Chow Kam-fai from CODEM and Ng Kuok-cheong from ANMD.
The turnout was an enthusiastic 64.4 per cent, choosing from the record field of 62 candidates.

Despite allegations of vote-buying, polling stations did brisk business, with long queues forming early in the day.
A total of 74,964 of the 116,445 registered voters cast ballots.
