About 350 artists are to take part in a concert at the Hong Kong Coliseum to mark China's National Day.

 The organising committee has invited pop stars Leon Lai and Cass Phang and opera singer Hung Sin-nui to perform.

 Olympic gold medallist Lee Lai-shan and Paralympic medallist Ben Cheung Wai-leung have also been asked to appear on stage for the concert next Tuesday.

 Organisers said the celebrations aimed to promote 'local participation' and 'reunification with China'.

 Tickets will be limited, although the concert will be broadcast on television.
