The Port Development Board (PDB) has launched its home page on the Internet, containing exhaustive information on Hong Kong port development. PDB chairman Peter Thompson said: 'The home page will enable us to share the future progress and development of our port with a wide audience in Hong Kong and overseas.' PDB secretary Tony Clark said the home page was part of PDB's programme to raise the profile of Hong Kong port locally and overseas, in general and in respect of development projects. In addition to information on the history and the future of Hong Kong port and the PDB, statistics on traffic, including container, port cargo and river trade throughput, and forecasts of requirements can be obtained through PDB's home page.
