A few months ago, I read that Compaq had released a keyboard with a scanner built into it that used Visioneer Paperport technology for document management. However, despite looking around extensively for it, I haven't been able to find this device. Any ideas? CHAN WAI-MAN Kowloon Bay I checked with Jardine Office Systems (JOS) Mart in Windsor House and was told these keyboards are not sold separately in Hong Kong but are reserved as promotional items for people who buy Compaq equipment.
If they were available, the store manager said, they would sell for about $3,500 each.
He said you might be able to order one by calling Compaq direct on 2867 1600.
I have just started playing around with HTML (hypertext mark-up language) programming and am finding it fun. I've seen lots of books about how to improve my skills, but I don't think they would be much use since by the time they are written, edited, published and sold they are bound to be out of date. Are there any good electronic resources I can use in this connection? REED PEREIRA Yau Yat Tsuen I take your point about books that are supposed to help you keep up with technology that outpaces the printed word.
But some of these books might provide you with a good foundation to high-quality HTML programming. Don't spurn them entirely.
In addition, there are a number of Usenet news groups devoted to HTML programming on which people such as yourself can exchange views, news, tips and other information.
